    Why Real Reviews Are Important

Recently two articles appeared on the web on sites that would make one think the authors had either spent a lot of time on the N90 site or spoken with us about exactly what we're doing to make it easy for bloggers to write reviews, when in fact they hadn't.

This is exactly one more reason why we set out to develop a reviewers' program for Nokia. You see, writing a second hand review with the facts from someone elses viewpoint, with quotes that others had selected for a first hand account and where a view point is only being gleaned from what others have said, and then forming your own opinion makes it harder for the person on the reading end of the commentary to really know the difference.

That's why in a few short days we'll be doing something slightly different here on the Nokia N90 Blogger Relations Blog.

What we'll be doing is actually opening up the N90 series blog to allow those bloggers in the program to post their thoughts, beyond just comments. We're going to test the concept of allowing others to manage the their own efforts on site, and so while it may push the limits of what Moveable Type will permit, and may require some changes to the configuration in the future, we want to be able to insure that the first hand reviews are easily found by consumers. This is especially important for those who wish to be able to make a truly informed decision about their choice in mobile phones by reading tthe reviews from those who have actually had their hands on the Nseries and been able to evaluate them in real world, not a fantasy world.

This is about citizen journalism and we are hopeful that it will work. We'll also be making some edits to our own informational copy on the site as well because we do repspect our peers.

You see we're also listening to what the blogosphere is saying and will be making some improvements to the site as we feel our peers in the world of blogger relations clearly has insight that's worth listening to.
