    Jonathan:

    To your question:

You can close open applications by press and holding the 'menu' key (the one that looks like the yin-yang symbol). A list of open applications will appear. Select the application (e.g. Messaging, Contacts, etc.) and press the 'c' to close. This will free up additional memory.

In addition, set the camera to save pictures and videos to the memory card and not the device. When the camera is active, select Options, then Settings, then Memory in use and select the memory card. You can also
move pictures and videos that are currently saved in the device memory to the memory card in Gallery.

I'd love to find a work-around for the low-memory error I get just about every time I try to playback a video I've recorded. I think it's the actual RAM, not the memory, due to applications being semi-open if I had to guess and not being able to swap into available other resources... though I have no idea how to make it work.

OK, another question: I'm trying to copy my contacts from my Treo 650 to the N90 with little success. I tried pairing over Bluetooth and the N90 refuses to allow the connection. I tried exporting my contacts from Palm Desktop in an all-in-one vCard file, but Nokia PC Suite doesn't seem to comprehend that multiple vCards might be coming in a single file, so it barfs on that import. Any other suggestions? And no, I don't use Outlook or Lotus PIM products, so that's not an option. :-)

    Craig,

Thanks for the post. I'll have it up in the main section shortly.

    To your question about tones:

Go into profiles, general, keypad tones and change the settings.

As for the server, thanks for letting us know. It could be Monday morning after a long holiday and all the traffic as well. We are looking at a bigger server and pipe in December.

    Regards,

    Andy

    A few things:
    1) I posted pics of the N90 last Friday at GearBits: http://www.gearbits.com/archives/2005/11/hands_on_nokia.html

    2) Question: How does one adjust the volume of the speaker and/or turn off system sounds (those annoying beeps every time a key is hit)? I can't find that setting anywhere.

    3) Is this site slow, or is it just my connection?

    Thanks.
    - Craig
