Anyway, I soon discovered, despite the claim of both the Roseville CA and Scottsdale AZ store's sales rep that Data did not work. So I tried Cingular and found out that indeed they do allow GPRS and EDGE data on the Pay As You Go SIMS.

That's why those bloggers who needed or requested a SIM here in the USA were provided Cingular Pay As You Go with actual credit on the SIMs.
